Data collection on this website

No personal data is given away when using this website, with exception of the IP-adress (see below "Log files"). Should you choose to contact us, the corresponding data (name and email address or telephone number) will be stored and processed for communication purposes. You can ask for the deletion of this data at any time. Your data will not be relayed to third parties.

We would like to expressly point out that the transfer of data via the Internet (e.g., by e-mail) is susceptible to security vulnerabilities. It is therefore impossible to safeguard the data completely against access by third parties. We cannot assume any liability for damages arising as a result of such security vulnerabilities.

We offer to encrypt e-mail communication via public-private key pair. This would reasonably safeguard the content of communication, although the meta data would still be vulnerable to unauthorised access by third parties.

Data collection on contract execution/completion

The relaying of personal data to third parties only takes place when it is neccessary for the execution of the contract. Additionally, the data is relayed only when you have explicitly agreed to this procedure. After the fulfillment of the contract or the end of our business partnership, your personal data will be deleted after the mandatory data retention period. We process the data as per Art 6. (1)(b) GDPR.

We use the "FreshSales" CRM system, a platform of FreshWorks, Neue Grünstraße 17, 10179 Berlin, Germany, based on our legitimate interests (efficient and fast processing of inquiries as well as cross-company communication and documentation with our customers). Your data required for processing (e-mail address, telephone number, first and last name, job title and content of e-mails) are transferred to our CRM system if we add you manually as a contact person or in an e- Mail conversation with an existing contact as the addressee. We have concluded a contract with FreshWorks, in which FreshWorks undertakes to process user data only in accordance with our instructions, to comply with the EU data protection level and to store our data in Europe. FreshWorks is certified under the Privacy Shield Agreement and thus offers a guarantee to comply with European data protection law.

Information and deletion rights

You have the right to to request information, at any time and free of charge, on the source, recipients and storage purpose of your personal data. Furthermore, you have the right to insist on the correction, blocking, and deletion of your data. For this matter, you may contact the responsible party directly or the statutory data protection officer. In addition, you have the right to file a complaint with the regulatory authorities. SimCog Technologies is registered in Hamburg and the corresponding authorities are the Landesdatenschutzbeauftrage Hamburg ( ).

Adobe Typekit

For the visual design of our website, we are using Adobe Typekit. Typekit is a service of Adobe Systems Software Ireland Ltd. which allows us to access a fonts library. In order to display the used fonts, your browser has to connect to an Adobe server in the USA to download these fonts. Through this, Adobe will gain knowledge that this library was accessed by your IP-address via our website. Tools for analysing and tracking

We do not use any tools to track or analyse user behaviour on this website. Additionally, we do not use cookies for the collection of personal data and social media plugins are not installed.

SSL encryption

This website uses SSL encryption to protect the transfer of of confidential content. You can recognise this by the „https://“ instead of „http://“ in the address bar of your browser.

Log files

The website provider collects and stores data automatically transmitted by your browser in so-called log files. This information contains browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL, hostname of the accessing computer, time of access, and IP address. This data is collected in order to guaranee the operation of this website, as per Art 6. (1)(f) GDPR.


The content of this website is hosted at Prismic ( With each view, the website connects to servers belonging to Prismic. Through this, Prismic gains information on which IP-addresses are requesting the content. The data is processed as per Art 6 (1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interests pursued by the controller) to allow an efficient operation of this website.

Information for applicants

 Personal data submitted to us trough a job application will be processed as per Art 6 (1)(b) GDPR (at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract).  After completing the application process, your data will be stored for another three months before being deleted. This is as per  Art 6 (1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interests) as defense against legal claims.

Only our human resources department, the management and the head of the appropriate department have access to application data, third parties do not.

Generally we do not request information on special cases (e.g. severe disability) within an application. Data of this type added by free consent will be processed together with the other information.

All data processing rights described above apply to the application process as well.

We protect personal data using state-of-the-art technology.

Unsolicited promotional emails

We do not allow third parties to use our published contact details for the purpose of advertising. We reserve the right to take legal action against third parties sending unsolicited advertising; e.g., by means of spam mail.
